The November/December 2002 edition of Zymurgy is graced
with an eight page (Take away advertisements/graphics and it's
perhaps half that) article on blending chiles with beer/mead by
our very own president, Mike Hall. This is by no means the first
article he's published, but it's still a big deal when new, well-writen
submissions come out. Many useful and entertaining points on getting
the chile pepper into alcoholic beverages were discussed. In addition,
several tempting recipes are available, including a green and
red chile beer and two mead recipes. This is an article not to
missed, not just for it's great content, but because it hits close
to us New Mexicans. If you don't have access to this copy of Zymurgy,
check with our club library to see about getting a loaner.
