2007 Big Brew
Saturday May 5th at Ron Daubel's House
(Rain or Shine!)
This year Brewers Unlimited Zany Zymurgists will
celebrate Big Brew along with the American
Hombrewers Association and all of the other Big Brew sites around the
country. But what exactly is Big Brew you ask? The following
text comes from the AHA's
official Big Brew web site:
Each year on the
first Saturday in May, homebrewers unite non-brewing and brewing friends
and family to celebrate National Homebrew Day, joining with thousands of
homebrewers from around the world in brewing the same recipes and sharing
a simultaneous toast at noon Central Time. Big Brew is one of many fun
American Homebrewers Association events used to promote homebrewing.
So please plan on joining us in celebrating the joys of
homebrewing at BUZZ member Ron Daubel's home in
Downingtown. Everyone is welcome to come and brew with us, either
with your own equipment or with one of the other brewers already set
up. See all the details below.

| Times: |
All-grain brewers please arrive
around 10am with the goal of mashing in by 11 am.
Extract brewers may arrive anytime, however we are asking
that you are set up and starting the boil no later
than 2 pm.
Non-brewers may arrive anytime. Please attend even if you do not
intend to brew.

| Brewers: |
Again, you do not need to brew to
attend Big Brew! There will be several setups including
extract as well as all grain. Please see the recipe
details (both extract and all grain) on the official
AHA recipe web site. Of course, you may brew anything
that you want, these are only suggestions.
We ask that you bring your own brewing equipment (ingredients,
burner, pot, mash/lauter tun, fermenter, tubing, chiller,
essentially everything but the water) however, there are a few
extra burners, pots, and tanks available if you need them. Please
let us know if you need anything (burners, pots, tanks) with your
RSVP.

BUZZ will provide burgers, hot dogs,
bratwursts, and rolls. We are asking that
everyone please bring a favorite dish
(salads, desserts etc), and of course beer,
commercial or homebrew!

Please RSVP (either email rdaubel@yahoo.com
or mailing list) no later than April 29th.
Families are welcome.
Please RSVP with the following info: Name, number of people
attending, the dish you are bringing, and if
you are brewing or not.
If you are brewing, please
include what recipe you are brewing (style
and extract/all-grain) and the gallon size
you will be brewing.
