Pat - Parkesburg, PA
Megan - West Chester, PA

2. What is your "brewery" name?
N/A

3. Year you started brewing
Spring 2004 started with wine kits
Fall 2004 started with beer!

4. Are you BJCP certified?
No

5. Favorite, most knowledgeable styles
I love the toasted tastes in some porters.  My favorite brewery would have to be Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, NY and my favorite beer from them is Hennepin which is a Saison

Megan doesn't drink beer, EXCEPT for lambics, go figure, she likes wines and other potables, and she loves all the mead that Dave makes! Thanks Dave!

6. Most Interesting Batch Made
I guess the most interesting would have to be a batch of cranberry concentrate wine I made which only "needs" a month before bottling. I let it sit for 3 months because it was still fermenting and then bottled it. It continued to ferment in the bottle and now I have, from the bottles that didn't pop, cranberry concentrate sparkling wine! very interesting....

7. Greatest Brewing Moment
No awards yet. You can't win if you don't play however. Just haven't gotten that itch yet. I like to drink my beer, that's good enough for me. My greatest moment is when I woke up after my first wine creating and saw the air lock going crazy! It was the coolest thing!

8. Worst Brewing Moment
I don't have to go back too far for this one. The other day, Jan. 17, 2004, we had an in-service day at school (I teach at Octorara High School out near Gap) and we were having a pot luck lunch where everyone brings something. I took a case of root beer that I made, beer was out of the question, and I'm glad it was. I was carrying the case down the hallway being very careful not to mix up the sediment too much when the bottom of the box gave out and the entire case fell at my feet and, well you can imagine the rest. I walked up to the office so we could page the janitor and almost 50 feet down the hall I noticed a quarter of a bottle that shattered shot that far! No one was hurt thankfully, but I lost a case of root beer, and more importantly I have to replace a case of bottles...

9. Words to live by
"The choices we make dictate the life we lead." - A movie, can't remember the name, know the actors face, but don't know his name either.

10. Something "non-brewing"
