Meeting Location
CARBOY’s monthly meetings are currently held at the BB&Y Restaurant. BB&Y is located on the first floor of the Caswell Building at 3700 National Drive, in the Koger Center off Glenwood Avenue in West Raleigh. Owner Nick Jones allows CARBOY to meet monthly at his restaurant when we don’t have picnics or field trips scheduled. BB&Y is open for lunch each week-day. We encourage members to visit BB&Y for a relaxed informal meal. Please let Nick now you’re from CARBOY when you visit his restaurant.

January 2008 Meeting Minutes

Shamrock Open 2008- This years Shamrock open will be held Saturday, March 15th at the BB&Y restuarant. We are looking to have a lot of club members volunteer to help out with this event. We're looking for people to help out by judging or stewarding. This is the main event that funds all other CARBOY activities so please pitch in if you can.

AHA National Homebrewers Conference- This years conference will be held June 19th-21st in Cincinnati. CARBOY has already volunteers to serve our beer at Club Night and defend our crown as 'Best Homebrew Club' at club night. Each year our club has had a larger group attend this event and we're hoping to continue this trend. You can find more info about this event HERE. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at Mark@food4dogs.com and I can provide more info on the event itself and/or what CARBOY had planned for our participation in the event.

How to make better extract beer? Tom gave a very informative talk and discussion about making the most of extract beers. We discussed some of their limitations and how to work around them.
