Meeting Location
CARBOY’s monthly meetings are currently held at the BB&Y Restaurant. BB&Y is located on the first floor of the Caswell Building at 3700 National Drive, in the Koger Center off Glenwood Avenue in West Raleigh. Owner Nick Jones allows CARBOY to meet monthly at his restaurant when we don’t have picnics or field trips scheduled. BB&Y is open for lunch each week-day. We encourage members to visit BB&Y for a relaxed informal meal. Please let Nick now you’re from CARBOY when you visit his restaurant.

March 2007 Meeting Minutes

Shamrock Open 2007- This year's Shamrock open was a huge success. We had a record number of entries at 438, which meant we raised a record amount of money for the Club's future activities. The raffle was also a success and raised over $750 with many items (including a really nice grain mill) left over for a future raffle to be held at a CARBOY function.

AHA National Homebrewers Conference- This years conference will be help June 21st-23rd in Denver. CARBOY has already volunteers to serve our beer at Club Night. Each year our club has had a larger group attend this event and we're hoping to continue this trend. You can find more info about this event HERE. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at Mark@food4dogs.com and I can provide more info on the event itself and/or what CARBOY had planned for our participation in the event.

Draft Box- A motion was made to allocate funds to build a draft box for the club to use at club functions and other events such at NHC and the Charlotte Ocktoberfest. The motion was seconded and voted in favor by the club. $200 has been approved for this project.

New CARBOY taster glasses- A bulk order of taster glasses was placed and the glasses are now available to members for just $3 each. They have the CARBOY logo on one side, an American Brewmaster logo on the other and an ever important "One Bottle!" line around the bottom. Get yours soon.

New CARBOY discussion forum- We have started a new CARBOY forum. This is very much like the other forums you may have seen or particpated in on the net. In order to keep out SPAMMERS and other unwanted folks please make your username something recognizable. Not only so others know who you are but also so we don't refuse your registration because we can't tell who you are.

New Forum located at : http://carboy.informe.com/

We then went into "TELL US ABOUT THIS BEER"!
