Meeting Location
CARBOY’s monthly meetings are currently held at the BB&Y Restaurant. BB&Y is located on the first floor of the Caswell Building at 3700 National Drive, in the Koger Center off Glenwood Avenue in West Raleigh. Owner Nick Jones allows CARBOY to meet monthly at his restaurant when we don’t have picnics or field trips scheduled. BB&Y is open for lunch each week-day. We encourage members to visit BB&Y for a relaxed informal meal. Please let Nick now you’re from CARBOY when you visit his restaurant.

June 2007 Meeting Minutes

Elections for 2007/08- At the June meeting elections were held and the following list of officers were elected for the 2007/08 term

A great collective thank you goes out to Mike Wallace for his years of dedicated service to the club as the Financial Director.

AHA National Homebrewers Conference- And the Winner is...

CARBOY!! At this years NHC Club Night CARBOY was voted best Out of State Homebrew Club.

A big thanks to all that attended, served beer and food, brewed beer, smoked BBQ and also thanks to Mike Weiss for his efforts in constructing the clubs draft box. This was a great accomplishment by the club and it will require a great deal of effort to defend our title next year in Cincinnati.

NHC 2008 - It was announced in Denver that the 2008 NHC will be held in Cincinnati. It sounds like they have a great event planned and it's close enough to drive so we're hoping to see lots of new CARBOY faces at the convention next year.

Revision to the By-Laws- A revision to CARBOY By-Laws was presented at the meeting and will be voted on at the next meeting. The proposed revision and be found HERE.

CARBOY taster glasses - Don't have yours yet? Their only $3 and they're a club fundraiser. And no, you don't have too many already.

CARBOY discussion forum- We have started a new CARBOY forum. This is very much like the other forums you may have seen or participated in on the net. In order to keep out SPAMMERS and other unwanted folks please make your username your first and last name to start. Not only so others know who you are but also so we don't refuse your registration because we can't tell who you are. We can change it once your approved.

New Forum located at : http://carboy.informe.com/

We then went into "TELL US ABOUT THIS BEER", and it all went uphill/downhill from there.
