Meeting Location
CARBOY’s monthly meetings are currently held at the BB&Y Restaurant. BB&Y is located on the first floor of the Caswell Building at 3700 National Drive, in the Koger Center off Glenwood Avenue in West Raleigh. Owner Nick Jones allows CARBOY to meet monthly at his restaurant when we don’t have picnics or field trips scheduled. BB&Y is open for lunch each week-day. We encourage members to visit BB&Y for a relaxed informal meal. Please let Nick now you’re from CARBOY when you visit his restaurant.

November 2007 Meeting Minutes

Education topic of the month- Tom Viemont presents some information and lead a discussion about getting maltier flavors from the mash. Look for more educational discussions at upcoming meetings and if you have a topic you'd like to see covered let Tom know.

CARBOY discussion forum- Have you signed up yet? This is very much like the other forums you may have seen or particpated in on the net. In order to keep out SPAMMERS and other unwanted folks please make your username your first and last name to start. Not only so others know who you are but also so we don't refuse your registration because we can't tell who you are. We can change it once your approved.

New Forum located at : http://carboy.informe.com/

The CARBOY store inventory- The club has a number of items and ingredients in inventory that are available to any paid CARBOY member. These items both help raise funds for the club as well as save the members some money. Each month we'll include an inventory summary. If there's something you'd like to pick up just contact Mike Welch or Mark Garwatoski and we can get those items to you.

CARBOY taster glasses - $3 each.

Straight-A cleaner - $2/lb (sorry for the error in a previous post)

American 2-row - $4 for a 4lb bag
