The Christmas Party scheduled for December 10th was discussed. It will be like last year with the food provided by the club and interesting commercial beers or homebrew will be brought by the club members. It will once again be at the Oxford Hunt Clubhouse in Cary, see below for directions.
A few ribbons were won by CARBOY members at theTRUB Open held in Raleigh and hosted by TRUB. Congratulation to Dave Buning for his 1st place Porter, Mark Garwatoski for a 1st place Dark Belgian Strong Ale and Alan Johnson for his 3rd place Dark Belgian Strong Ale.
Start brewing now for CARBOY's Shamrock Open to be held in March.

Where: Oxford Hunt Clubhouse, 120 Fallsworth Dr, Cary, NC 27513
When: Saturday, December 10th
Hours: 6:30 pm - 10 pm
What to Bring: It is free, but please bring beer for everyone to sample, either some homebrew or interesting commercial beers. If you don't want to drink from a plastic cup, feel free to bring a glass for beer..
Food: Chips, Dips, and Finger Foods provided by the club. We'd call them Hors d'Oeuvres if we could figure out how to spell that.
Directions (thanks to Dave Buning):
From Raleigh -- take US 1 to the Cary Parkway exit. Exit right and stay on Cary Parkway for approx. 4.3 miles. (you will cross Kildaire Farms Road, Lake Pine, and Old Apex) and turn right onto W. Chatham (only goes right). Go 0.7 miles and turn left onto Fallsworth. The clubhouse is at the end of Fallsworth.
From Durham -- take Highway 55 to High House Road. Turn left onto High House and go approx. 3.5 (?) miles to Cary Parkway (Stop light). Turn right onto Cary Parkway and go approx. 1.8 miles and turn left onto W. Chatham (only goes left -- there is no light, but Peace Presbyterian Church is on the corner). Go 0.7 miles and turn left onto Fallsworth. The clubhouse is at the end of Fallsworth.
