|
- Anyone (who can
legally make homebrew) may enter.
Please indicate any co-brewers.
- All entries must
have been brewed at home not using a
commercial operation. Entries made at a "Brew on Premises" facility are
allowed if the entrant(s) performed all the work required to make the
entry.
- BJCP style
categories 1 - 28, and any subcategories
thereof, will be accepted.

- More than one
entry per sub-category per entrant is
allowed, but must be different recipes. Also, please make sure the
entries are uniquely identified on the entry form and the bottle
labels. Example: Name one English IPA#1 and the other English IPA#2
- Categories with
fewer than six entries may be
collapsed at the discretion of the Organizers.
- Entry fee is
$7.00 for the first entry, $5.00 per
additional entry.
- Make checks
payable to: Cass River
Homebrewers
- Please submit 2
bottles per entry, 10 to 16 ounces,
any style. No labels or silk-screening is allowed. Raised lettering on
bottles is strongly discouraged, but bottles with generic
raised lettering will be accepted. Caps must be plain or blacked out.
Please
ship in a box lined with a plastic trash bag in case of
breakage.

deadline is Friday, April 24,
2009 at 5:00 pm. Late entries will neither be judged nor returned.
Entries should be shipped to the address below and will be accepted
between April 6, 2009 and April 24, 2009. Ship to:

Local
entries
may be dropped off at one of the sites listed here
during the dates indicated.
- Recipes are not
needed for entries. However, upon
request of the Organizers, winning entrants may be required to submit
detailed recipes at a later time. The Best Of Show will be brewed and
served on tap at Sullivan's Black Forest Brewhaus in Frankenmuth,
Michigan and will require that the recipe is provided. The Black Forest
Brewhaus, will take the recipe and reproduce the beer as faithfully as
possible to the original recipe depending upon availability of
ingredients, lagering time, etc. In the event Black Forest Brewhaus is
not able to produce the beer selected as Best-of-Show, the Black Forest
Brewhaus reserves the right to select an alternate beer from the
remaining finalists.
- BJCP judges
under BJCP competition standards, rules,
and regulations will judge all entries.
- Recognition will
be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
place winners in each category, Organizer's Choice, and Best of Show.
- An engraved
glass trophy will be awarded for Best of
Show along with an award certificate. Organizer's Choice will receive
an engraved glass mug, an award certificate and a Cass River Homebrew
Club T-shirt. 1st place winners in each category will receive a "Gold"
Medal and an award certificate. 2nd and 3rd place winners in each
category will receive a "Silver" or "Bronze" Medal respectively and a
certificate. All entrants will receive certificates of participation. Additional
prizes may be awarded and will be anounced on our sponsors
page. Check back as event deadline

- All judge score
sheets will be returned to entrants.
No SASE or postage is requested or required.
- To register your
entries, fill out a hardcopy registration
form or utilize the online registration link at the upper right
of this page.
Please
include the entry summary sheet with your entries.
- Bottle labels
must be attached to each bottle with a
rubber band or tape. No glue!
- Entries will
only be accepted at the Ship-To address
and Drop-Off points listed. Do not mail or deliver entries to the
competition site!
- Only the
Organizers, Judges, Stewards and Scorekeeper
will be allowed in the judging area. Contestants are not allowed to
converse with judges during the competition. Violators will be
disqualified.
- Direct any and

list.
- These rules may
be updated without notice at any time
