Four glasses and a pitcher hand-monogramed by my daughter, pretty cool. I christened the pitcher with a homemade batch of egg-nog from the "Harry Renner" recipe (thanks Jeff!).

I bought my own beer christmas present with my wife's blessing: 220 lbs. of malt from Austin homebrew supply.

Non-beer related: I also got a spotting scope. The elk should start to be getting a little scared.

I got the vacuum food sealer gadget so now I need to order 5 pounds of hops so I'll have something to seal up. Not much for the brewery since there really isn't much left except for a refractometer or a conical fermenter.

I must have been both naughty and nice. On the one hand, I got a BarleyCrusher, a refractometer, and an hour of watching my kids tear into their presents like a couple of crazed wolverines. On the other, I got my wife's ENTIRE family as houseguests for THREE days. I thought I wasn't going to make it.

I think I have you all beat...closed escrow on 40 acres in the Santa Lucia mountains on Tuesday (12/23), that's less than 10 miles of where the 6.5 earthquake hit in CA Monday. Had a truck up on jacks to change all 4 tires, figured it would be on the ground when I got back, but wasn't. Only sign of an earthquake, two (empty) wine bottles fell over!!!

Paul H., it took your kids a whole hour? It seemed like a blink of an eye or a boilover here.
Santa came by early here...several stops over the last few monthes with: Convoluted CFC, March Pump, Barley Crusher and about 250 lbs. of grain.

Paul H. again, did you know that relatives are like fish? After 3 days they begin to stink.

A $100 USD! gift certificate to B3. Since I'm in the SF area for the holidays, promptly visted B3 and filled my suitcase with goodies. Learned long ago to always travel with a second, almost empty suitcase. :-)

Mike M, as a former road warrior, the Bose headphones are worth every penny when flying.

Cheers and Happy Holidays to everyone.

Chuck,
Stuart is great. It is how Florida looked 10 to 20 years ago. The fishing is outstanding. For the past couple of weeks the sailfish have been biting hard and often. The only bad news is that the seas have been 6 to 12 feet for what seems like a month.

Amber bock may be the only thing that resembles real beer down in Florida.

Chuck,
I am about an hour and 15 from stuart. I usually do my fishing for the Jupiter area. You'll be down right before I go under the knife or drill bit to have my sinuses hollowed out, so I may be under the honey-do gun. But, drop me an email at the address on my profile, I had hoped to get out fishing on the 17th or 18th.
