Ok, I'll start it out with what I have missed seeing in the LHBS, or just in brewing in general.

Like, What ever happened to Pride of Ringwood Hops? I used to see them now I dont.....

I was infallible until I lost my virginity. I don't worry about it much. Interestingly my wife has managed to retain her infallibility despite giving birth to four.

"Upper Decker"-(American slang); 1. in the game of baseball, a home run hit into the upper deck of a stadium; any baseball hit into a spectator deck that is elevated above field level.2. any spectator at a stadium event sitting in the upper deck 3. the practice of defecating in the tank of a toilet rather than the proper receptacle bowl, causing a prolonged offending odor from the unseen excreta.

How is it going everyone? This seems like trip back in time, seeing the names of Grant Knecktel, Dean Larson, and Brewess among others. I took up learning to play guitar in 2001 and brewing beer has taken a long hiatus. I've been checking in lately for relavant information on building a herms & found this post. Spent too much money on guitars and now I have to spend a bunch on brewing to make up for it. Glad to see that Bill Pierce is still keeping every one on the up and up.

Pivo, You bring up an interesting question. I believe the tankless toilet might have been the beginning of the end for public upper decking. However, equally annoying and more humiliating, you can slightly loosen the large nut just below the flushing valve (works for both toilets and urinals). When your unsuspecting victim pulls the flushing handle they will get doused with a rush of high pressure water exiting from the loose nut in a horizontal trajectory.

I have twisted the inner screw on the royal half urinals, what happens is that rush of water is soo fast you get splash over! sometimes there's a cap over that screw, but usually its wide open.

Dave,

I relocated and no longer lived at a residence where I could brew. I occasionally dropped in just to see what was going on here, but I became somewhat disenchanted with all of the petty bickering going on that had much to do with egomaniacs and little to do with sharing info or helping one another. It turned me off a lot. Now I have a place to brew and I see that those currently participating are much more civil. I'm pleased to see that Dan Listerman is on board and that Bill Pierce is still hanging with us. I've got an IPA in the secondary right now and a koelsch planned for next weekend. Just bought one of them extremely controversial pumps (I like gadgets, so leave me alone )and I'm looking forward to playing around with a psuedo RIMS setup. Brew on troops!

Gosh it sounds like someone missed me..I did get all the rocks on the walls and the stone patio laid..Just about broke my back a time or 3. The firepit is just a fire ring in the patio center with a diamond plate lid. I have a table over it when its not in use. I have just drained my last keg. Thank goodness I bottle 25%.. Still have a few selections there..In fact my year old SSOS is mighty fine.
