I think that would be exactly why many of us choose not to live up there! Here in Oklahoma cold is classified anything below 40F. Public schools will be closed for a pathetic 1" of snow too... Of course 99% of people down here haven't a clue how to drive on snow or ice - and really scare the crap out of those of us who do. (Message edited by MeyeAarD on January 24, 2005) |

My driveway looked about like that on Saturday morning, but that was just the part that had the big drift. We only got 7" Friday night. The pile on the side of the driveway got too high where I couldn't clear it with the chute on the snowblower. Still pales in comparison to you east coaster's though... |

B3, I was wondering how you are doing with the reports I keep hearing on CBC. You might get some warm weather your way next week. It an "almost too hot for this time of year" of +10C (50F) here in Edmonton this afternoon. If the sun wasn't setting in less than an hour, I would be on the balcony brewing after work! Cheers, Bob |

Pueblo Colorado baby. The best of both worlds. Last Saturday my brother and I took a mountain bike ride and it was 22 degrees. I froze my kester off. This Saturday we took the same ride 70 degrees (shorts only. In Colorado we frequently say if you don't like the weather wait a couple hours. Ya all need to move down here to the banana belt. |

Hey Jolly, In December, 2002, my wife and I were vacationing in the UK. We got some snow flurries on us while spending a day in Burton-on-Trent. |

Yeah, we got 2 inches in about 20 minutes last year, here in Cheltenham. Brought the whole county to a standstill for days! Very funny, we just don't know how to deal with snow in this neck of the woods. It rarely drops below freezing. Feb is usually the coldest month so maybe well get a flurry or two soon! |

I saw snow when I was up in NJ last week. It seems to me that when this stuff really comes down it would clog your snorkel. And reduce what you can see on the reef. Thank god we don't get it down here. -Doug |

No cockroaches, No mosquitoes, No lawnmowing...and if you ignore the snow, it will eventually go away on its own. |
