My number of visits to this site is declining fast. I think I would rather see the "I just racked after 3 days, why is my FG so high" posts than what is going on now. |

Eh, the secret is to filter through posts that sound like utter useless crap from the get go. Here is a handy guide to avoiding land mine posts here in the HBD community. Keywords to ignore: Grain Mill (any combination) 'Why ask for recipes' (that one hurt just to read) Sponsorship ANYTHIGN WITH HSA in it Brew Tree Any mention of Budweiser or Corona As long as one ignores that stuff and actually focuses on why one got into this hobby in the first place, you'll be all set. I know I'm going to get my head ripped off for this but some of the posts here sound worse on the bitch-o-meter than a sorority house meeting. Cheers old farts, Peter 'the kid' Roman |

I give it a couple weeks, Doug. That's typically how long these outbreaks last. Then again, maybe Scott is *really* bored this time. |

Good keywords Peter, although I might also suggest anything containing the words "modelling" or "simulation", or has graphs in it. Those make my head hurt. By the way Roman, what house are you in? |

Doug, I might be to blame...I've been visiting here and posting more often than usual lately...maybe when all this dies down and we go back to question like "i just racked after 3 days" I'll leave and you guys can have your palace back! Yeah, I posted in the Skotrat mash in thing...and Jim's recipe post...the mash in thing got me...I thought Jim's post was sincere. Cheers |

I hear you, Doug. Once you discover internet porn, its hard to go back to homebrewing web sites. |

Actually, I'm trying to stay away from internet porn as it is f'ing up my 6 yr/old computer and my time at work to view this site can be somewhat limited as I can be very busy and not have much time to spend around a PC. I too enjoyed some of Skot's posts. As I said to Skot I am indifferent to all the mud slinging that goes on at this site. But it is fun to read sometimes. |

"I'll leave and you guys can have your palace back! What ever that means.... Post on, flame, and maybe even try and sneak in some exchange of brewing knowledge it doesn't matter to me. This site has been a great source of information, but the thought of picking through petty flame wars and no point posts has me thinking that there is too much noise which could/would hurt this site's traffic. Discuss! |

yeah, just a joke... I've been reading this too infrequently to recall the flaming that has always been the mark of this board...I think maybe that is why I stopped reading much of it in the first place...but I've become accustomed to reading forums where people DON'T flame, so my defenses have weakened. It just seemed that over the last month as I've started checking and posting here almost daily, that this stuff has been all over. Maybe somebody rubbed some bad karma on me or something... Cheers |
