I bought a used peristaltic pump (motor and head) for $24. The motor is a Permanent Split Capacitor type. I'm not sure what to do with the wires sticking out of the back. I've got a black/yellow out of the motor and a black(grey?) coming out of the capacitor. I can do regular black, white, ground wiring. I have done basic household electrical like ceiling fans and Ranco controller but I've never had to deal with a black/yellow wire and I'm not sure what to do with these. Help. |

Well, it's an AC motor so, um, plug it in. If I had to fashion a guess, I'd say that the yellow/black wire is the 'hot' side of AC and that gray is the return. |

i cant help you. i electrocuted myself yesterday fixing my air conditioner. fortunately the tip of my finger just grazed whatever it was and knocked me on my ass. no smoke coming out of my ears but took my heart awhile to get back to normal. moral: don't reach up into your hvac system blindly. at least i got the ac working |
