Too many black helicopters around to give actual locations! Also, there is no way to edit or delete yourself. Proceed with caution. |

I don't know how long that map has been around, but a day or two before the above map post, I created a map for home brewers. But even as the creator and "administrator," I found I could not edit any information. The map is out there, but hopefully will drift away into the ether! Ken |

Hey Skot, I think that red haired monster thingy was called Gosmer. Those are the BEST cartoons out there...EVER! If you can't quote Bugs Bunny, then what do you watch? That's like not knowing a 3 Stooges gag or a Honeymooners line also. David |

I'm reminded of the movie "Diner," where one of the storylines involves a trivia test devised for the fiancée of one of the characters. Because the movie is set in Baltimore in the early 1960s it's heavy on knowledge of the Baltimore Colts. All the pop culture references are fun, and I'm a great trivia lover myself, but they really don't make anyone a better brewer nor are they a very accurate indicator of true knowledge. In some ways it's merely a way of trying to enhance one's coolness. |

to look cool Bill??? No. Like my post reminded you of the movie Diner. Kens post reminded me of two things... This Bugs Bunny Cartoon: "BUGS BUNNY AND THE MAD SCIENTIST" (1954) And Curious George with the bottle of ether.
I apologize if it seemed vague. For like my post, your post and many others on this thread it had nothing to do with brewing, coolness or knowledge. It was merely a vague reference that just maybe made someone else besides myself and David Woods smile. I really think that this bbs has become one of the most personally sensitive boards on the web. So much is read into posts that folks jump to far off conclusions. -Scott |

Only vaguely related, but speaking of old Warner bros. cartoons and beer, anyone else remember that Michigan J. Frog short? The one where the guy promoting the singing frog puts up a sign saying "FREE BEER" to get a stampede of guys into the theatre - then at some point it was edited to just say "FREE"...just really lost something essential to the humor, imo... Chet, No Way! I have not seen that. I have a bunch of the old pre 1955 cartoons and I love them. That FREE BEER sign makes the whole joke in that cartoon -Scott |

They edited it to just say "FREE"??? My kids were watching a Tom & Jerry cartoon and Tom's owner is now a white lady. I guess it is for the best. I'd hate my kids to grow up to be the racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted nefarious non-politically correct drunkard I am as a result of seeing those insensitive cartoons.
