Just wanted to let you know that it's been over a month now that i'm reading all the threads here and i always find everything interesting. So i decided to register myself as an official user! For those who have click on the URL to my homebrewery's video in the homebrewery's section, well it's me! ;-) (username was Pascal Desb)...
Well, to briefly introduce myself, it's been 17 years now i'm brewing. I started when i was not the legal age to drink (15 years old, yeah!), but it's been maybe around 10 years now i'm brewing all-grain. I'm located in Laval, a Montreal's suburb... I give brewing courses here in my brewery since nearly 4 years now, and showed to nearly 250 people so far how to brew the 'divine nectar'. I'm planning to open a microbrewery here in the following year, i'll keep you posted on that...
Here's the link to my personal website:
Here's the link now for my homebrewery's video (for those who didn't see the video yet):
And now, the same video, 2 Mb size, for those with a Dial-up connection:
Enough introduction for me now! Hope to discuss with you guys and girls on this magnificent subject in a near future!

I agree the video is cool. All the best with your micro undertaking . . If that should happen not to work out, comedic acting may be an option!

Welcome aboard, Pascal.
Good video, and looks like a great set-up for your brewery.
Much luck on your micro. And here's to you and all other board members having a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Bienvenue, Pascal! You live in a wonderful area for beer. Montreal is home to some great brewpubs. Dieu du Ciel is easily in the top ten of the nearly 400 I've visited, and L'Amere a Boire and Le Cheval Blanc are very good as well. And I could hardly say enough about Unibroue. I'd die (probably from liver failure) if I could find these beers at my local depanneur (convenience store) as you can.

Welcome! I must say, though, that your name does seem familiar. Perhaps some older posted recipes?

Montreal is also home to a number of brew clubs of which the MontreALErs come to mind. Also a number of Members of Barleyment live in the Montreal region. Nice video BTW. Love the setup.

Thanks guys for that warm welcome!
I didn't know ,DHacker, that i had talent in me for acting, i just did my best and never did that before! I thank you all for the compliments on my brewing system and video too! And a special thanks to all the wishes, we always need them when we start up a company...
Atually, Bill is more than right about the luck i got by living in Montreal! I can tell you that all the breweries mentionned in his post are more than great, but we also have since 2 years now Bieropholie's beers, which are very special jewels everytime! Bieropholie is a bunch of francophone's beer lovers which discuss about brewing and beer in general on a specialized forum like here! Url is http://www.bieropholie.com
On ratebeer: http://ratebeer.com/Brewers/brasserie-le-chaudron---bièropholie/907/
And i'll try with my experience in brewing to bring up some useful knowledges when required!!
See ya all!!

A late welcome. Been away from the computer for a week. We already met over your video though.
Wanted to pass along an idea I got from Dan on the collapsing FB. Going to get some SS bolts and nuts 2"(mm?) and put them in to strenghten the welded legs that keep collapsing. Maybe even add 4 more between the existing outer legs. Got my whole system ripped apart right now converting from hard copper piping to flex with QD's. Let you know how it works the next time I get to brew with it.
