Zipped out to my dad's for New Years. Along the way I stopped at Great Lakes Brewing for the first time. This will now be a regular stop. Loved the pub:
Hmmm, what to have:
One of each:
I found the Commodore IPA and (as always) the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter to be excellent. A growler of each to go, please:
While waiting for the growlers to be filled I struck up a conversation with a guy at the end of the bar. Turns out he was a homebrewer and recommended Rocky River Brewing just a couple miles away. Didn't have the time to check it out, but it is now on my list of places to visit. Nothing like starting the new year with some excellent Great Lakes beer, not to mention a case of Genny Cream Ale! |

Oh yeah! Great Lakes Brewing is a regular stop for me on trips to Cleveland, where I have family. In addition to Rocky River on the West Side, there is Willoughby Brewing east of the city with decent beers as well, although not as stellar as GLB. |
