A reminder on why not to touch vessels when toasting!

One might suspect the shot was a setup with the extreme stop action shutter speed . . .

Here you go, Kevin. The description explains the shutter speed.

Hofbrauhaus Catastrophe
This is a once in a lifetime type of photo...
We were just trying to capture the beer spilling a little bit when we shared a cheers with two liters at the Hofbrauhaus in Munich -- as you can see, the results were slightly different...

I hope it wasn't a first date. If so, it was probably the last.

I might be mistaken, but it looks as though there are already two empty mugs on the table - they were obviously more enthusiastic in their second cheer vs. their first

She's wearing a ton of beer even before the broken mug is empty!

Let's see... If this happened in America; What would be the chances that OSHA (USG) would see an opportunity to further their interference with the requirement for wearing face shields, gloves and aprons when toasting with glassware?

Lee, EU workplace safety requirements are no less stringent and equally bureaucratic as those in the US. There does seem to be a somewhat more relaxed attitude about safety in public spaces. More than 20 years ago I recall visiting the famous Templo de Sagrada Familia in Barcelona (one of the world's most remarkable works of architecture which has been under construction since 1882 and is not expected to be completed for 20 years more). There was a winding stair up one of the five towers that had no railing to speak of. I was able to climb unrestrained out onto a ledge to take a spectacular photo of the more than 200 ft. sheer drop to the ground below.
