I saw that in a case sampler pack at Sam's Club a couple of weeks ago. I also thought of Denny. I admit I was tempted to give it a try. Has anyone here tried it yet?

They put out a bourbon vanilla porter last year, too. Suppose I'll get royalties???

Hmm... maybe Denny secretly works in the A-B pilot brews program.

Looking forward to giving your Bud Select 55 a try!

We'll know Denny's had a true influence on A-B when they release a beer with an O.G. above 1.060. Otherwise, it's an add coincidence that for two years in a row the Michelob sampler pack has included beers Denny is known for in the homebrewing community. It makes you wonder if someone at A-B isn't monitoring the homebrew forums where Denny participates.

By the way, there have been rumors that Augie Busch IV wants to buy the Michelob brand from InBev and produce his own beer.

I saw a commercial today for a A/B wheat beer! I guess it's a good thing that the craft brew industry is having this kind of effect on such collosal breweries. It can only benefit the consumer as long as the microbrewies are left in-tact after companies like A/B convince the public that they shouldn't risk stepping outside of the macro swill box.
"If you're gonna have a wheat beer, it might as well be a bud," kind of attitude.

That porter was nasty. I drank part of one - dumped the rest - and gave away five bottles. A poor imitation of a very good beer. That reminds me, I should make another batch for Christmas parties.

Brewed 10 gal of the BVIP today. Although I may leave 5 gal as just IP and only add the B&V to one keg. Yummm, can't wait for some cooler weather to sip on this.

You must brew indoors.

Yep in the basement but as wet as I got today I don't think I'd notice the differenct if I'd brewed outside.

Guess I'm going to have to break down and brew Denny's Rye here pretty soon. Been meaning to for a long time, the only thing is that I like to brew 10 gallons at a time and I won't be able to with that grain bill....have to settle for 5, though from what I've read I won't be settling...incindently I noticed that Nor. Brewer is out of Denny's yeast. Have to look around for it, any suggestions where I might find it?

Micah, the yeast was a seasonal release that was only available til Sept. Somebody might have some around still, though. If you want to see it available year round, email Brian Perkey (brian@wyeastlab.com) and let him know!

Hey Denny! Still brewing and drinking beer buddy.
I guess life can still be considered good under the circumstances.
