Little David was in his fifth grade class when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came up - fireman, policeman, salesman, doctor, lawyer, etc. David was being uncharacteristically quiet, so the teacher asked him about his father. "My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and he takes off his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes, if the offer's really good, he'll go out to the alley with some guy and make love with him for money." The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some exercises and took little David aside to ask him "Is that really true about your father?" "No", said David, "He works for the Bush administration, but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids." |

Chumley, the way I heard the joke the kid's father was a member of Congress. I think it holds for both parties. |

Holier than thou, Ron? I think the point of the joke is that politicians and political types in general are held in not much higher regard than whores. Sometimes they don't seem to behave much differently. In the end I don't believe it matters greatly which party they belong to or on which end of the political spectrum they lie. At least that's my read on the subject. |

Bill, my point was in agreement with yours. Both parties suck. My point is how can someone take one side or the other when one is just as guilty as the other? More of my point...how can someone say Repugs are bad when Demos are doing the same thing and vice a versa? Doesn't defending these idiots become tiresome? If anyone needs further clarification, just advise. |
