I found this motor with a brass colored pump attached leading into a small stainless tank. If I had to guess I would say it is something used to charge soda while being pumped. It mentions something about soda on it though I don't have it in front of me. Any idea what this is and what I can pump through it? (I am in doubt it could be used for hot liquids but maybe I can use it for moving something) |

If you don't know the internal construction of the pump, what it was used (if used) to pump previously, what it's intended to pump, and at what temperatures it's intended to pump at I don't know how you could draw any safe conclusions. |

It looks a lot like this unit pictured below. The tank was a bit smooshed and one of the water-in? spout has been broken off. I think the front loader at the metal recycling center has been in touch with it. I bought it for nearly nothing and figured I could use it for something. The stainless fittings alone made it a good buy. So now the question is what can I scavenge of of this puppy?

Unless it looks like it can be easily dissasembled I would forget it. Your asking for contamination with this. It appears to me " from breif experience in resteraunts that this is a pump/soda mixer. Does it have a questionable inlet that could possibly be used for CO2? If so than thats it. More than likely it wont take brewing temps unless modified. It kinda looks like my well pump on a small scale. Heath |
