For my wife's new hobby, I'm buying her army surplus ammo cans. (Yes, you read that right. "Hey! What are you getting your wife for her birthday?" "50 caliber ammo cans!" "Aw, that's so romantic!" If you are interested in why, check out http://www.geocaching.com.) It occurs to me that these things are just meant for brewery storage. ~US$5 buys you a tough, stackable steel box with an airtight lid. Not big enough for storing base grains, but it'll keep your smaller items nice and dry. You can pick them up in lots of 5 or 10 on ebay. Just thought I'd pass the idea along. Vegetables aren't food. Vegetables are what food eats.
