Well, now, I like the idea, but it's a bit gimmicky (to me) : Thinner wall to 'maintain temperature' longer? More bottom etchings to create more bubbles for aroma, yet still claims to maintain carbonation longer?? I will give SA credit for great marketing though! |

Every Belgian brewery seems to have their own glass shape, so, hey, why not? |

Boy, that sure is an ugly glass For to accuse requires less eloquence, such is man's nature, than to excuse; and condemnation, than absolution, more resembles justice. -Hobbes, Leviathan

I don't know. I am still trying to get my head wrapped around "Hops are to beer what grapes are to wine" These beer glasses strike me as a touch of snake oil. |

Wouldn't the correct correlation be water instead of hops since that is the largest part of beer? |

My first reaction was like Joakim's. Ugly! I have nothing against Sam Adams whatsoever; this is just NOT a thing of beauty. |

That glass is disgusting looking. It looks like they melted and distorted a pefectly good Coke glass. Those are some far fetched claims too. |

Reminds me of a whiskey sour glass. Makes sense for an ale, but not for a lager. |

The only proper glass in my mind is the British Imperial Pint Glass stamped with the mark of the queen "If I'm not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?"

it looks like the glass from a latern post... just imagine it with a pointy iron bottom.. now, THIS is a good beer glass set. great for all styles: http://www.bevmo.com/productinfo.asp?sku=00000078483&N=168+42+172&Nr=Store%3A99& area=more you have to get over michael jacksons ugly mug on each one, but the etching is light, so it doesn't stand out. |

Not bad, Brewdawg. But I don't see a pilsner glass, or a british pint, or a nitro glass or even a Guinness-shaped glass, my current favorite. It would be very cool to have the proper glass for EVERY style. |

Hmmm. I find it to be a rather attractive glass. I'm certainly not going to run out and buy one, but I like the shape of it. |

I picked up an enamelled Orval glass in a charity shop for £1 the other day. I was quite pleased. It looked quite old, with the metal rim on the top as well. It has quite a rustic charm about it. I often use a glass like the one in Joakims profile pic. I like having a handle, and the narrow glass seems to keep a head nicely. |

Uh-oh I'd better get a new pic up there pronto if you're gonna call attention to it - I look like a complete and utter tard in that one For to accuse requires less eloquence, such is man's nature, than to excuse; and condemnation, than absolution, more resembles justice. -Hobbes, Leviathan

Yep! A handle is great in that your hand won't heat up the beer. (Maybe not so much an issue with English beers ) (Message edited by joques on February 16, 2007) For to accuse requires less eloquence, such is man's nature, than to excuse; and condemnation, than absolution, more resembles justice. -Hobbes, Leviathan

I try to collect one glass with the logo of every beer I drink. Not always successful, but I try. Find many in garage sales for $0.25. The rest, I "borrow". |

Sam Adams didn't become a success without great marketing. This looks like an attempt to over do a simple idea.....to sell more by baffleing with BS. |

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS. The claims seem to contradict intelligence so this must be marketed to the mass idiot. |

"I try to collect one glass with the logo of every beer I drink. Not always successful, but I try. Find many in garage sales for $0.25. The rest, I "borrow"." Wow! I wouldn't have enough room in my entire house for all that glassware. And, I'm not exaggerating . . . (well, maybe a little) Do you sneak them out in your pants when you "borrow" them, or what? |

saw the glass in real life last night - the picture exagerates what it looks like. Asked the bar owner why he bought them and his reply was - Sams is giving them away to bars to serve sams in for free. Lets just say i got a set last night - total cost = 0$ Glad I didn't spend any money on them - they are very thin glass, not enjoyable to hold while drinking and doesn't hold a full pint (Message edited by liquidbreaddiet on February 21, 2007) (Message edited by liquidbreaddiet on February 21, 2007) "If I'm not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?"
