This a variation on a stew.

On the show they used Chimay Red.

I threw in a couple spuds, per the stew recipe http://americastestkitchen.com/recipe/114.htm, and some sliced mushrooms.

I'm waiting for my second batch to finish right now.

Chimay makes an EXCELLENT addition to beef stews or other dishes. Give the beef a wonderful taste and in addition the bottles are large enough that there's always plenty left over for the cook!
