I was thinking today that it might be a good idea to have board members donate un-wanted homebrew equipment up for auction....How it works is the winning bidder donates the winning bid to the server fund, and then takes care of shipping costs.
So maybe keep each auction thread open for one week (obviously one thread per item).
Maybe Bill could highlight the font of the Auction threads or something crazy like that.
Also, these would likely get linked to from other sites and attract some new blood.
Just a thought...What do you guys think? |

I suppose that most of us don't have all that much excess equipment. That or what excess equipment we do have wouldn't bring much more to the fund than the cost of shipping - just my thoughts, but the idea is sound and a worthwhile endeavor.
With that said, who wants to bid on a chill-zilla "like" counterflow chiller (it doesn't have the convoluted piping, just straight copper)?

I tried to give away some plastic listermann equipment....it sat outside my gate for a guy to pick up, who never did....I will gladly donate this to whoever wants to pay the shipping price. Beware, it is fairly spent after 12 years of brewing. |
