I used to use these exclusively, and have missed them since brewers resource (the best homebrew shop ever?) went out of business. Rumor awhile back was that someone was going to continue the line of yeasts. Stupidly, I never ordered from them, and can't remember the name. Does anyone know if these yeasts, available on slants, still exist anywhere?

cheers,
Jim

I believe it was Brewers Rendesvous in Downey,Calif. that bought Brewers Resource stock including the yeast lines. The last that I heard this shop was closing and going to mail order out of a small warehouse.I also think they let the yeast lines die out.

I believe he still carries some strains, but certainly not the variety that used to be available. I ordered some CL-50 - California Pub Ale last year for a 'spurment' on a split batch of APA. Here's the website:

there is a resource for more BrewTek yeast, seems they have quite a few you can get on slants, only drawback is that they are 10.00/slant and mininum of 3 slant order. So pick 3 and you're all set

That would be www.brewingscience.com in Colorado Springs.

Good to see Brewer's Rendezvous carrying on. Tom

They're not a homebrew shop, they're a yeast lab.

I've ordered from Brewing Science before, and was very satisfied.

Brewer's Rendezvous bough out Brewtek's stock. I've bought some slants from Brewe's Rendezvous, but they weren't in very good shape and they didn't have much selection. OTOH, the Brewetek slants I've gotten from BrewingScience were great.
