I'm allergic to corn and was wondering if honey could be used and how much would I need to prime a 5 gal batch of porter. Art |

You can prime with honey. Use about 20 percent more by weight than you would corn sugar and expect it to take perhaps twice as long to carbonate. |

Corn sugar is really just purified glucose, so any allergens you have to corn is probably not a problem with corn sugar...besides, the yeast will eat most of it, no? |
