I'm allergic to corn and was wondering if honey could be used and how much would I need to prime a 5 gal batch of porter.

You can prime with honey. Use about 20 percent more by weight than you would corn sugar and expect it to take perhaps twice as long to carbonate. |

Corn sugar is really just purified glucose, so any allergens you have to corn is probably not a problem with corn sugar...besides, the yeast will eat most of it, no? |
