I will be in Chicago the weekend of Oct. 29 for the Red Wings/Blackhawks game and was wondering, what are the worthwhile bars/pubs/brewpubs in the downtown area? I believe my buddy i'll be staying with lives around Lincoln Park somewhere.
He used to live in the suburbs, so we'd hang at a great english-style pub and play darts/pool all night and drink Boddington's or Smithwick's on tap. My problem with downtown is that I've never found any good pubs to hang in where you can find a pool table or dartboard. I'm a white male and therefore don't dance, so 90% of the bars downtown don't appeal to me.
Any suggestions? |
