I just got a H315 from BBB with Poly head and was wondering if I should use Metal or plastic fittings on inlet and outlet. Thanx |

I have SS fittings on mine, a 90o Elbow on inlet and a "T" fitting on outlet. I used PVC pipe on the threads, and carefully threaded the fittings on to prevent cross-threading and stripping. Be careful about overtightening - know where you want to stop (if you have something like an elbow fitting), and anticipate that in your turn. |

oops... I meant I use PVC pipe tape on the threads (to provide a good seal, and to provide some "give" when orienting the fittings as they get tight). |

I attached polysulfone quick disconnects to my pump fittings and, like Vince, used teflon tape on the threads. |

I use stainless fitting on my pumps and just like Vince says use tape and be very careful not to overtighten. I've found the extra heavy pink PTFE tape to work very well. |
