Every June, the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation puts on the Sasquatch Brewfest here in REugene to raise money for brewing scholarships. This year for the first time, there's also a homebrew comp. Here's the info... If you haven’t already planned on entering the Sasquatch Homebrewing Competition, now is your chance! Together with the Cascade Brewers Society, the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation is producing the inaugural Sasquatch Homebrewing Competition. The competition is open to residents of Oregon, Washington, and Northern California (Monterey Bay and north). Details on the beer styles, entry form, beer labels, fees, and collection point are all available on the web at http://www.sasquatchbrewfest.org/homebrew.html. The “best of show” winner will have the opportunity to brew his/her recipe at a professional brewery! All entries must be received by May 25 at The Bierstein Bottleshop and Pub in Eugene, Oregon. Winners will be announced at the Sasquatch Brew Fest in Eugene on Saturday, June 3. Also, don't forget to attend the Fourth Annual Sasquatch Brew Fest where over 50 special beers will be featured along with a day full of music, food, and good cheer. LIfe begins at 60...1.060, that is.

I'm kidding Denny, I like hanging in Eugene sometimes especially when I need to increase my freak saturation quotient. Great place to have some beer though. Richard. |

It sounds to me that the people in Eugene don't support the president enough. |

Chumley, that's a lure so big I suspect even the largest fish will spot it a mile away. |

I like Eugene because it has it's own personality, supports it's local businesses(which I may be one of in the not too distant future) and institutions. It doesn't have a problem with expressing free speech which I am a big advocate. Of course, I'm from Boston(read Democrat) living 40 miles south of San Francisco and 40 miles North of Santa Cruz. I consider Eugene a progressive enclave and sister city that has a sophisticated palate....and I'll be there next week edited for typos (Message edited by brewerbob on May 04, 2006) Ask not what your country can brew for you but, what you can brew for your country! http://www.geocities.com/bob_girolamo
