A few years back, back when Karl was still around, we disallowed anonymous posting access to the B&V board; all posters had to have an account, which meant they had to have a valid email address. The intent was to reduce the amount of trolling/sniping that was occurring on the board by exposing the poster's contact information to those reading the post. It just came to my attention that this was policy not being enforced in the board's configuration, enabling some "perfect trolls" to conceal their email address from other users. This has been repaired. Be advised that your email address is now displayed through your profile as intended by board policy. If you've been playing nasty under the cloak of anonymity and prefer not to have your email address "outed", please take this opportunity to delete your account, pack your bags, and go away. (If you've been playing nasty out in the open, feel free to carry on - this clearly does not concern you). Thanks Pat! As a fellow brewer and computer enthusiast, I applaud your efforts in keeping this forum and the other HBD resources available. Cheers! |
