If you were lucky you might have Original Malt-O-Meal hot cereal, which at least has malted grains (along with sugar, salt and added vitamins and minerals). The beer would be a lot better if you had access to brewer's yeast. I'm guessing I could brew something that would earn a score of around 20 in a BJCP sanctioned competition. I went to boarding school and hypothetically speaking a passably adult beverage could be made from 5 # of sugar. 4 cans of frozen apple juice mixed with water to make ~4 gal and bread yeast. if one wanted to say after fermentation remove some of the pesky water a big coffee percolator, some duck tape and tubing in a bucket of water might be useful David |
