From Russ:

“FYI -I am not sure if your <expletive deleted> are going to send out a <expletive deleted> club newsletter, but if you decide to get off your homebrew <expletive deleted> and do, I finalized the Oktoberfest party with the Commander and Chief and it is going to be on Saturday, September 16th, starting at 4:00 PM.  I know it's a Duck Game Day, but honestly who gives a <expletive deleted>, it will probably be on TV and definitely on the Radio. It will be a German potluck with maybe some brand spankin new Homebrewed Oktofest beers.  If you want any more details or questions, please give me a call.

And Now a Word from President Nate “My Beer Is Better Than Russ’s” Sampson:

September

It’s been a couple of months since the last newsletter. Hopefully it will become a little more regular.

Hope everyone has had a good summer. I know mine was quite crazy with something going on just about every weekend, and in some cases, every week. A lot of those plans included club events. All of which were successful as well as fun.

There was another Club Only Competition with English Ales being the focus, the first Jerk-off party at Chris and Edie’s. There was the Oregon Brewers Fest in Portland. There was Hop Madness and, one of the highlights of the year for me, the campout.

Also, I would like to congratulate Tom and Teri for their tying-of-the-knot this past August.

It’s been a great summer of good food, good friends, and of course great beer. One thing I can say about this club, that I’m proud to be part of, is that we brew some damn tasty beers. Cheers to all of those that have helped make this a summer to match last years.

A few things that are coming up in September are the Oktoberfest, a great event to bring in the fall season. It will be at Russ & Amber’s place on Saturday Sept. 16th. It will be a German potluck, and German beer. So bring your best of both.

There is another Club Only Competition on Friday Sept. 22nd. It will take place at Kevin & Pam McGraw’s place. This one will cover bocks, dopplebocks, eisbocks, and the like. It should be up and running around 6:00pm.

We’ve had several new members join this summer, so I would like to extend a cold and frothy welcome to every one of them. Hope you all like what we have to offer.

Cheers,

N8

[Editor’s Note: Nate doesn’t have any competition ribbons... I have 15..... need I say more????  mj]
