Home Brew Digest, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, more specifically to provide educational materials relative to the home production of fermentable foodstuffs (cheese, sauerkraut, beer, wine, etc.) via the internet.

The Home Brew Digest, Inc. was incorporated May 2007 in the State of Michigan as a not for profit corporation. Until 2011, Home Brew Digest, Inc. operated as a 501(c)3 corporation until removed by the IRS for non filing. Home Brew Digest, Inc. is pursuing reinstatement as a 501(c)3 charitable corporation, but has not yet received a Letter of Exemption from the IRS.
