RED CARD RULES
You will be
“red-carded” if:
1.
Your beer has too many words in its name.
2.
Your beer has too many malts or different types of hops used.
3.
Your beer has just too many ingredients! Period!
4.
Your brewing technique/method required you to perform any
unnatural or perverse steps.
5.
You did not declare a “closet cleaner” designation before listing
your ingredients. Note rule 4 still applies. Only one
closet cleaner per brewing year – you cannot clean your closet every
time you brew!
6.
Only approved ingredients may be used and these are subject to
discretion and may be changed without notice.
7.
You say or even think the word “Reinheitsgebot” at any meeting of
the DBG.
8.
You grow or malt your own barley – that’s just going too far.
9.
Excuses or whining will not be tolerated.
10.
Anything not covered by above rules.
Penalties:
The one and only
penalty is immediate confiscation of the offending beer batch. It
will be distributed to needy families in the Downriver Area.
The above is a
brief summary of “red card” rules but are all subject to change without
notice. Happy brewing and have a nice day!
