I have a cream ale in the primary that I scorched in the mash tun and it still tastes that way. Is there any hope for this one?

Give the beer some time to age in secondary. Cream ales benefit from cold conditioning anyway. The scorched flavor may not disappear but it will lessen considerably after a couple of months.
