Guys,
I just emptied a couple of kegs after a party & noticed a considerable amount of surface rust on the outside of the kegs & on my beer gun.
I keep my kegs & beer gun in converted chest freezer running at around 4 degrees C.
Would a bout of hot & humid weather have anything to do with this.
What should I do to prevent this from occurring?

Cheers
Paul

Wash it with a rust inhibiter like "zud"

Barkeepers Friend will clean it right up...
It prob occurs when something made of steel rubs up against it...

I don't know if Zud or Barkeeper's Friend is available in Oz where Paul lives, but these are abrasive cleaners that contain oxalic acid that will remove the rust and passivate the stainless.
