I am thinking about making an (all grain) American Dark Wheat though I never had actually had one before. I would like the OG to be around 1.040-1.050. I would most probably use Wyeast 1010 but am open to suggestion.

Any one make this style before? Has anybody drank this style or know of a commercial example so I can ..uh..research? I am looking for input since this is a new venture for me. My intial thoughs are:

10 Gallon recipe

9 lbs Pilsner
7 lbs Wheat
1 lb Dark Wheat
1 lb Melanoiden

2oz Liberty -boil
2 oz Liberty- flavor

Wyeast 1010

Am I missing something in the recipe- sounds too easy.

I can't comment on your recipe, but if you want more comments on it, go to the main page that lists threads, THEN click at the bottom and post this again...right now, you are lost in a mess...
