Did up 40 gals of Pale Ale on Saturday using 100 lbs of Crisp pale ale malt... first brew for my new rig and everything worked out great - having all the equipment in one area made for less mess and easier clean up.

Yeah, I started out with one made of leftover deck boards, did a couple of big batches with that and built a better one out of steel tubing. Mine is 1x1x.09 wall - it is really easy to line everything up and get it square if you have one of those magnetic corner fixtures - keeps all the tubing at 90 degree corners and acts as a third hand while welding. I have a smaller stand for 10gal batches made of wood to hold my mash tuns and HLT. |
