I just finished the labels for my holiday ale, Gingerbread Ale, last night and am pretty happy with how they turned out. I pulled most of the art from an old book called "The Gingerbread Man" and hacked and slashed it in Photoshop and Illustrator. |

And here's the recipe. It's a little heavy on the ginger, hence the name Gingerbread Ale. Nonetheless, it's a good light holiday ale. At the time, 4 lbs. of grain was the most I could mash so I added a pound of LME to raise the gravity. Gingerbread Ale (3 gallons) 3.25 lbs. DWC Pilsner Malt 0.50 lbs. DWC Caramel Pils Malt 0.25 lbs. Flaked Soft White Wheat 1.00 lbs. Light Liquid Malt Extract 0.50 oz. Styrian Goldings pellets (60 min) 0.50 oz. Styrian Goldings pellets (10 min) 0.50 oz. Grated Fresh Ginger Root (10 min) 4 inches of Cinnamon stick (10 min) Zest of 3 Small Sweet Oranges (10 min) WLP400 White Labs Belgian Wit Ale yeast cake Mashed 30 min at 122°, 120 min at 154°, and 5 min at 168°. SG: 1.048 IBU: 25.5 Enjoy! |

This has to be some of the best work I have ever seen. Have you ever considered doing this for commercial breweries. |
