[Cheese] waxing

I'm just starting out making cheese and having a tough time finding cheesemaking supplies in my area.  I don't currently have any cheese wax, and I'm wondering if anyone can give me an alternative to waxing.  If anyone on the list lives in Alberta Canada, where do you get your supplies?
