why the system is called a HERMS (Heat Exchange
Recirculating Mash System). Since this photo, I have installed a dial thermometer into the side, this is much nicer and eliminates poached fingers. The old thermometer can be seen (before it got steamed to death). That small tubing upper left is the filtered liquor input hook. |
