---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun, 7 Dec 2008 11:35:01 -0500 From: "Nelson at DBG" <Nelson at DunedinBrewersGuild.com> Subject: Walk The Line On Barleywine 2008 Walk The Line On Barleywine 2008 - hosted by Dunedin Brewers Guild of Dunedin, Florida - competition announcement The judging is over, and the final results are in - congrats to the Best Of Show winner Mike Cohen of Tampa Bay BEERS for his top-notch "Mikes Mighty Ultimator" Doppelbock! Congratulations to all of the winners - the list of winners is posted on our web site at www.DunedinBrewersGuild.com. Although this competition is small, it was well attended for judging (just the right number!), and the entrants were able to get some excellent feedback on their beers from the high experience level of the judging pool. Also, because it was a small competition, we were able to hold a Rare and Vintage Strong Beer tasting for all of the judges, stewards, and staff as a special Thank You for your participation. (And thanks to KK for hosting the tasting!) Thanks also to Tony for allowing us to hold the competition at his Oldsmar Taphouse (www.OldsmarTaphouse.com), and for being a very gracious host. Date: Sun, 07 Dec 2008 11:38:39 -0500 From: stencil <etcs.ret at verizon.net> Subject: Ultrasonic masher? An idle thought on a snowy morning: Is there any experience with the use of ultrasonics - specifically, ultrasonic cleaners - to gelatinize adjuncts like unmalted oats or corn? This is presumed to be an alternative to the cereal mash. . Return to table of contents
