---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu, 08 Oct 2009 20:34:29 -0400 From: Tom Puskar <tpuskar at optonline.net> Subject: Flat beer update Thanks again to all who responded to my post about two batches of flat beer a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if the rousing of the yeast or just "time in a bottle" as the song goes did the trick, but the Abbey Dubbel has carbonated nicely and turned out to be one of my better efforts. The IPA still hasn't hit what I'd consider to be ideal carbonation but it too has turned out to be drinkable. Maybe all I needed was some patience! This weekend I'm planning to make a Founder's Brewery Breakfast Stout clone. Let's hope for the best! Tom in Howell, NJ Return to table of contents
Date: Sun, 11 Oct 2009 13:30:45 -0500 From: Ralph Link <ralphl at shaw.ca> Subject: false bottom screen We are in the process of building a new mash tun. It will be aprox. 25" in diameter. Can anyone suggest a source of perforated stainless steel that I can use for the false bottom. Thanks in advance. Ralph Return to table of contents
