Tick-Tock…

My apologies to those awaiting The Recipator – and thank you for your patience. My experience with the C programming language is decades old, and, unfortunately, time has been very tight recently – active work life and family life occasionally interfere with my volunteer life.

As stated in a previous post, I have narrowed the issue down to the user security model of our host vs. how the program was designed to execute. I have replicated the site on a local machine, and am s-l-o-w-l-y making my way through the programs to better understand their structure and intent.

Again: thank you for your patience. Just wanted to pop up a status report so that you know where I’m at.

Cheers!

    1. It still exists on the old server. I have been focusing my efforts on the interactive bits of the HBD site, and have not yet restored all of the “preserve” and educational pages. This will return. Since you’ve asked, I will see if I cannot restore AJ’s content this evening.

  1. Pat,

I really miss your Replicator app. I would love to volunteer in helping you restore the service.

    Cheers!

    1. I appreciate the offer. However, since it is copyrighted by Mark, I am unable to release the code without his permission. And, if I could reach him for that, I’d simply ask him to revise it as he has in past moves. I’m afraid you’re stuck with my efforts. Problem of late has only been one of time.

      1. Bummer.

I can also write it from scratch. It might make things easier for you to maintain in the future. It will probably take me a week or two to give you a prototype to play with.

Whatever I develop you will not be copyrighted. You can GPL or keep it under your name. I don’t care 🙂 Let me know if you are interested.

        Cheers!

        1. Not ignoring you. And I appreciate (and may take you up on) your offer. Have to exhaust all my means of (a) updating it myself and (b) contacting Mark before doing anything of the sort.

  2. I come to your site every other day, looking for “it”…. Save me, save me! I don’t like using brewers friend, I feel dirty
